Water Kingdom Ticket Price 2026 | Asia’s Largest Themed Water Park Mumbai — Official Entry Fee, Rides, Offers & Complete Visitor Guide

At Gorai in Borivali West, where the Arabian Sea creates a creek that separates the mainland from the mangrove-lined Gorai island, Water Kingdom has been operating since the 1990s as one of Mumbai’s defining leisure destinations. It describes itself as Asia’s largest themed water park — a claim anchored in its 22+ acres of aquatic attractions, sprawling tropical theming, India’s largest wave pool, and ride count that covers every category from extreme high-drop slides to gentle toddler zones.

Managed by Pan India Paryatan Pvt. Ltd. and co-located with EsselWorld Amusement Park, Water Kingdom is the water component of the larger Essel entertainment complex at Gorai. Getting there by ferry across Gorai Creek is part of the experience — a 15-minute boat crossing that provides the unusual situation of arriving at a Mumbai attraction by sea.

How to Reach — The Gorai Ferry Experience

Water Kingdom is situated on Gorai island and requires either a ferry crossing or road access via Bhayander — making the arrival itself distinctive.

By Ferry (Recommended and Most Popular):

From Borivali Station (Western Railway, easily accessible from across Mumbai and Western suburbs), take a bus or auto to Gorai Creek jetty (approximately ₹5 by bus, ₹20–₹30 by shared auto). Ferries operate every 20 minutes from Gorai jetty and every 30 minutes from Marve jetty. The ferry crossing takes approximately 15 minutes to Gorai and the return trip is included in the same ticket. Ferry charges: approximately ₹70 per person (return), same rate for adults and children. Ferries operate 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

By Metro:
Mumbai Metro Line 2A (Yellow Line, Dahisar to DN Nagar) is fully operational as of 2026. Alight at Dahanukarwadi Station or Borivali West Station, then take a short auto to Gorai jetty.

By Road:
Via the Western Express Highway, turn at Kashmira toward Mira-Bhayander road. Continue to Bhayander and enter through the road entrance. Paid vehicle parking is available at the venue.

Rainbow Gate (Direct Water Kingdom Entry): A separate entrance from EsselWorld is also available — confirm current access routing at waterkingdom.in.

The Thematic Concept — Why Water Kingdom Is Different

Water Kingdom is not simply a collection of slides around a wave pool. The park was designed with consistent tropical marine theming across all zones — coral reef motifs, ocean-blue colour schemes, jungle and beach area names — creating a visual identity more coherent than most Indian water parks, which tend toward generic tube-slide configurations.

The park’s aquatic zones are named and themed: The Lagoon is the central massive aqua pool; Missphisly Hill is the adventure slide complex; Aquadrome is the family water zone; and so on. The theming creates natural wayfinding and a sense of distinct destination zones within the 22 acres.

This design ethos, combined with the ferry arrival experience across Gorai Creek, gives Water Kingdom something rare: the sense of actually going somewhere specific rather than simply entering a parking-lot-adjacent water facility.

Rides and Attractions

The Lagoon — India’s Largest Aqua Play Pool

The Lagoon is Water Kingdom’s centrepiece and most recognisable attraction — described as India’s largest aqua play pool. It is not a single ride or single pool but an integrated aquatic zone containing multiple slide types, water play structures, and splash areas all within a single expansive water environment:

Hydroburst: A high-pressure water jet column for adults — standing in the burst is a sensory experience entirely different from a conventional slide.

Aquaconda: A large-format family raft slide contained within the Lagoon zone.

Typhoon Tube: An enclosed group tube slide for 3–4 persons.

WaterFall, Umbrellas, Elephant Bucket: The family and children’s features within The Lagoon — a cascade waterfall structure, spray umbrella jets, and the classic timed-dump elephant bucket format.

Missphisly Hill

The park’s dedicated adult adventure slide complex. Twelve rides on a hillside structure — both body slides and tube slides of varying intensity, including enclosed dark tunnel formats and open high-gradient descents. The most consistently queued area during peak summer weekends.

Adventure Amazonia

A jungle-themed thrill zone with multiple slide formats and a swing/suspension activity area. The jungle theming is among the most visually elaborate sections of the park.

Wave Pool

Water Kingdom’s wave pool generates large artificial ocean-like waves on a timed cycle. It is specifically noted as one of India’s most powerful wave pool experiences by visitor accounts — the force of the waves is significantly higher than the gentler wave pool formats at many competing parks.

What-A-Coaster — Water Coaster

A ride that reverses the standard water slide gravity: riders in boats are propelled uphill using high-pressure water jets before descending — creating the novel sensation of ascending on water. One of the more technically unusual rides in the park.

Aqua Dive — High-Altitude Drop Slide

A near-vertical body slide from significant height — the highest-intensity single-body slide at the park. Height restrictions apply.

Drifting River (Lazy River)

A gentle circular river channel for floating on tubes — the cooldown experience between more intense ride sessions. The tropical theming along the river channel is among the most atmospheric sections of the park.

Goofers Lagoon — Kids’ Zone

A dedicated children’s area with smaller-scale slides, splash features, and age-appropriate water play. Well-separated from the adult ride zones to allow children to operate without queue pressure from adult visitors.

Gang-A-Fall, Bay Watch Tower, Mama-Miya

Family rides of varying intensity — covered slide formats, viewing platforms, and intermediate-intensity water experiences suitable for mixed-age family groups.

Jungle Beach and Coco Beach

Beach-themed relaxation areas with lounge seating, shade structures, and direct pool access — the resting zones between ride sessions.

EsselWorld Bird Park (Within Complex)

A walk-in aviary spread over one acre housing 550+ exotic birds across 60 species — included within the Essel entertainment complex. Ticket: ₹500 adult, ₹400 child. Combined ticket options available for Water Kingdom + Bird Park visitors. Also contains a Fish Paradise aquarium (₹354 adult, ₹256 child).

Dining at Water Kingdom

Multiple food and beverage outlets within the 22-acre campus:

Taipan: Non-vegetarian restaurant offering the unlimited non-veg buffet available in the lunch combo ticket.

Fab5 (Veg Lunch Partner): Vegetarian unlimited lunch buffet, available within the Zaykedar Veg Lunch combo ticket (₹1,480 adult including entry).

Snack Counters: Distributed through the park for light bites, beverages, ice cream, and quick refreshments between rides.

Outside food and beverages are not permitted inside Water Kingdom. Infant food is the only exception. Locker facilities allow safe storage of personal items (₹200 per locker at the entrance).

Best Time to Visit

November to February: Mumbai’s cooler months (22°C to 30°C) make Water Kingdom manageable and enjoyable without the heat and humidity of summer. The wave pool and slides are fully operational, with dramatically lower weekend crowds compared to peak summer.

March to June (Peak Season): Mumbai’s pre-monsoon heat (33°C to 40°C) makes Water Kingdom the most compelling day-trip option in the city. Maximum crowds on weekends in April and May — arrive at 10:00 AM opening for the best experience on peak days.

Weekdays in summer: Far lower crowd density than weekends. All rides operational, with no meaningful queues until approximately noon.

Avoid: Weekend afternoons from noon to 3:00 PM in April–June — the most crowded window at the park.
